Notes For Life: AIDS charities benefit, this Sat. Oct. 10.

notes_for_lifethis is to alert you of a benefit show we Winterpills are playing next Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7:30, at the venerable Latchis Theater in Brattleboro, VT.

the show benefits local and national AIDS charities.

It’s called “Notes For Life”, and we are one of three artists playing that night. The other artists will be Kate Pazakis, and Samirah Evans and Her Handsome Devils.

it’s also 1 of only 2 full Winterpills band shows that we’ll be playing regionally this fall (other shows will be acoustic duo/trio, etc).

this is a good description of the evening:

“Notes for Life will feature music from an eclectic array of performers, ranging from broadway tunes to indie folk-rock to soulful electric jazz and blues, with proceeds split between the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

“These funds will help provide vital services and programs designed to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS and to reduce the number of new infections that occur each year. HIV/AIDS have not gone away, but the funding for programs is being decimated from Vermont to California.”

It should be an exciting evening in a beautiful old art-deco theater. we’d love it if you could come by; we don’t play Vermont often. also, Philip grew up partly there, Brian lives there now, and its fun to play in your hometown. Your mom might show up.

here is ticket information & links:

Tickets can be purchased in advance in the lobby of the Latchis Hotel, located at 50 Main Street in Brattleboro, or online. General admission is $25 or $40 to sit in the first eight rows.
