a busy fall for winterpills.

hello, everyone. autumn has gently begun, that back-to-school vibe is in the air, and it’s time to tell you what’s coming up and what’s been going on, and also to buy a new pencil-box.

summer was lovely, as usual, although too cool and damp at first for the tomatoes but not so for the songs, as many were birthed in spite of blight. they rest in their nest now, awaiting their futures. in the meantime, a bunch of live performances have come together.

the schedule in detail can be see on the right side of the page; herein i will simply list things in a conversational way:

• a benefit show for our friend Mark Mulcahy on Sept. 20th in Brooklyn, at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. the likes of Frank Black, Vic Chesnutt, Spouse and many others will play.

• another benefit for AIDS awareness and research will happen in the lovely hamlet of Brattleboro, VT on Oct. 10.

• we’ll play a show with Dr. Dog at MassMoca in North Adams, MA on Oct. 17.

• we will tour with our friends Stephanie’s Id all around the Northeast and some points south in mid-late October as well.

• come November, we will also tour with and back up Grant Lee Phillips on the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic leg of his tour to support his new album, ‘Little Moon’. we’ll tour as a trio (Flora, Dennis, Philip) for this, with occasional guest appearances by our pals Dave Hower and Brian Akey. details, again, on the right (or forthcoming).

this fall is very friend-oriented. which is how life should be anyway.

see you out there.
