winterpills @ memorial hall, shelburne falls, ma.

charlemont-smallWinterpills play a benefit concert for the Academy at Charlemont, at Memorial Hall in Shelburne Falls, Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 pm. this is a great opportunity to see the band in a beautiful old venue with great woody acoustics. we last played here a couple years ago with Vashti Bunyan and had a great time. opening will be the Academy’s bluegrass band, the Freightshakers. It will be a long show, we will pull out the stops and dig deep into the catalog.

Shelburne Falls is a beautiful Massachusetts hilltown with a couple great places to eat and much to see. Worth the drive on a lovely warm spring night.

And —  a really fun thing will happen: there will be a full band and teenage chorus version of a Winterpills song played that night. That’s all we are saying.

Ticketing and venue info: Student / Senior $10 Adults $15. Producers Circle $50 includes pre-show reception at The Arms Library ( across the street ) and preferred seating.

Tickets available online at www.charlemont.org or by calling the Academy 413-339-4912 to reserve tickets. Also available at World Eye Books, Boswell’s Books, and Turn It Up, Northampton.

Winterpills open their own Starbucks.

Winterpills have opened a Starbucks franchise inside their touring van. The ‘Bux will serve all the usual coffees and teas and will also feature only cd’s and downloads by themselves and their friends. The new store will be located in the second bench seat area of the van, where Dennis usually sleeps.

If it goes well the band then plans to open a Whole Foods in the third bench seat behind the Starbucks, where Flora is current stretched out reading Anna Karenina.

April goddamn fools.
