shows: a wee benefit; boston show; a movie theater show.
its a clusterf*ck of shows alluva sudden. here we go:
1. Friday night, Sept. 28, 11:30 at the ELEVENS in Northampton, MA. Philip plays a short solo set as part of a weekend benefit for the arty local music-and-arts-center known as FLYWHEEL. Do come.
2. Monday, Oct. 1, we(full band) play upstairs at the Middle East in Boston (Cambridge, really), with FERRABY LIONHEART and THE BRUNETTES. we are on at 9:15 pm.
3. the Pleasant Street Theater in Northampton normally just plays cool indie films. but now they are doing a little series called MUSIC AFTER MOVIES. we are proud to be involved in the kick off the first of these series, which features THURSTON MOORE, JULIANA HATFIELD and LLOYD COLE, all spaced out over 3 evenings. (the series begins monday Oct 1 with Thurston). We are on Weds., Oct. 3. shows start at 9:30 pm, after the movies. Opening for us will be FILE OF THE STORM. $10, all ages.
No commentsshow in Maine; another with Mates of State; EP update.
Next up for us is a show at SPACE in Portland, Maine, with our good friends Spouse (featuring of course José Ayerve). This should be a great night. Its Saturday Sept. 15th.
also: on Oct. 24th in Northampton, we’ll be doing a stripped-down opening set for Mates of State. VERY excited about that.
and — our EP is finished. we don’t want to tease you, but we also don’t really know when it’s going to be released. there are quite a few things going on. believe me, we will let you know.
the photo is from Storm King, this amazing sculpture garden in upstate New York. we went there. you would love it. this is Flora. she is ok.
